FrauenPower e.V. was founded in 2019 with a mission to empower women and girls in Kenya, India, and Nepal—enabling them to build brighter, more secure futures for themselves and their families. We believe that women and girls in many developing regions still face significant disadvantages in areas such as health, education, income, and overall well-being. Even small efforts can lead to meaningful change, and our work is grounded in the conviction that support—no matter how modest—can make a real difference. To help address these disparities, we implement a range of targeted initiatives:

 

Literacy and Education Programs: We provide opportunities for women to learn to read and write, often for the first time in their lives. We help make schooling and higher education accessible for girls from underprivileged backgrounds, support families to ensure girls are allowed to attend school, and much more.

 

Employment and Entrepreneurship Initiatives: We support young women in finding employment after completing their education and provide vocational training in trades such as tailoring, hairdressing, baking, and beauty. We also offer training in business and financial literacy, enabling women to start their own enterprises and become self-sufficient.

Health and Hygiene Programs: We improve access to healthcare for hundreds of women and children in remote areas of Nepal, promote personal and family health education, and raise awareness about menstrual hygiene and promote the distribution and use of reusable sanitary pads.

Microcredit and Community Banking: We facilitate access to microloans, helping women pay off debt, launch small businesses, and achieve financial independence. We also support the creation of cooperative banks for women's self-help groups.

Technology and STEM Education: We introduce laptops, IT training (including coding, robotics, and hackathons), and STEM education in slum and government-run schools that typically lack the infrastructure and resources to offer such programs. All of our initiatives are implemented in collaboration with trusted local NGOs and non-profit organisations in the countries we serve. Importantly, project selection and funding decisions are made collectively by the members of FrauenPower e.V. We are proud to guarantee that 100% of all donations go directly to the projects—ensuring that every contribution leads to tangible, life-changing impact.
